Position Available 

Major Domestic Appliance Repair Technician. [ Journeyman – Red Seal Certified ]

Job Description

In home repairs to major household appliances including front and top load washing machines, clothes dryers, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, range-hoods, specific central vacuum systems and more. Other responsibilities  include  diagnostic  assessment  and estimates, invoicing, ordering parts and receiving payment. 

Qualifications

The successful applicant should have: 

– a fundamental knowledge of the major domestic household appliances.

– a fundamental understanding of mechanical, electricity and electronics.

– a natural mechanical aptitude.

– a valid driver’s licence in good standing, [ Drivers Abstract Required ]

– a willingness to learn, and continue learning.

– good people skills.

– the ability to work on their own with little or no supervision.

– the ability to apply good common sense and smart decision making skills in a troubleshooting capacity.

– computer knowledge.

– Journeyman, Gas fitter, Electrician, Electronics Specialist, Refrigeration Specialist

Wages

Wages will be determined by experience and productivity. We offer a starting base training rate of $18 to $23 per hour depending on tangible experience.  As you become more independent, wages will increase accordingly. Our unique commission program will enable a full seasoned appliance technician experienced to work on any makes, brand, working independently to make as much as $25 to $35 per/hour. Performance evaluation every 3 months , Increase in productivity and effeciency will result in increase in wages.

We will provide the required training for the successful applicant based on their specific needs. Supervised practical application would follow after classroom training until you are comfortable on your own. Once you are fully trained, a service truck, cell phone and some industry specific tools will be provided as well.
